Haugesund Hospital has a permanent oncologyposition available at the day care unit.

Helse Fonna HF consists of four hospitals located in Haugesund, Stord, Odda, and Valen, and four local psychiatric
centers (DPS). Helse Fonna  has more than 4000 employees who have their goal of providing the best possible care to our patients. Helse Fonna covers 19 municipalities with around 180 000 inhabitants. www.helse-fonna.no.

Haugesund is a city on the western coast of  Norway and is the regional center for 110.000 inhabitants. Haugesund Hospital is a general hospital, located in the center of the city. It is part of the teaching facility network of Regional Health Authority of Western Norway. You will work in a team with other oncologists from Haugesund hospital and Haukeland University Hospital (HUS). Most of the patients treated in Haugesund have gastrointestinal cancer or breast cancer. You will also treat patients with other diagnoses in consultation with oncologists at HUS. We are expanding the hospitals areas and the plan is to have ha cancer ward during 2027.        
 
We are looking for an oncologist who is interested in professional development and teamwork. Doctors in their final year of specialization can also apply.

Arbeidsoppgåver

Full-time, permanent position for a specialist in oncology.                                                                                            

• Primarily daytime work
• The work consists of consultations, ordering chemotherapy and consultation at departments with admitted oncologypatients (there is not a dedicated oncologyward) and some administrative work
• Collaboration with palliative team
• The oncologist will be a key person in the development of cancer patient services in Haugesund
• The workplace will be Haugesund

Kvalifikasjonar

• The applicant must have Norwegian medical council authorization as a doctor along with recognized specialization in oncology.
• The applicant must have relevant hospital work experience.
• You need to learn the Norwegian language both written and oral at a high level(B2).
• Experience from palliative care is an advantage
