Are you a dedicated professional passionate about advancing mental health research and improving patient care? The Adult Psychiatric Department is the largest in the Division of Mental Health and Addiction at Diakonhjemmet Hospital. The department consists of five outpatient units including one for addiction treatment, and two inpatient units. An additional two inpatient units are set to be added in 2025. We also collaborate with the other departments in the division, the Geriatric Psychiatry Department, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department, and the Center for Psychopharmacology. We aspire to foster a deeper understanding of mental illness, with a focus on a broad range of subjects such as severe mental illness and work-related therapy. The research could lead to increased understanding and better diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of mental illness. We are also currently implementing a systematic broad consent for all our patients as part of the NORSMI consortium including patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) and measures of patient-reported satisfaction (PREM). This may provide valuable data for future research.
